For this project, our objective was to choose a store or boutique in Fort Collins and analyze their current floor-plan and display. After analyzing, our aim was to design a more functioning floor-plan, thinking about enhancing the stores image and increasing their functionality. I chose Acey Designs Boutique, located on Laurel Street, Fort Collins. I chose this boutique as it offers a variety of chic and trendy clothing, however the store layout was outdated and not eye catching to the passer by. My immediate concern was the window display - due to Acey Designs Boutique being in a location not close to any other clothing retail store, I knew the window display would be an immensely important factor for the success of Acey Designs boutique. Currently, Acey Design Boutique uses Fairy lights and one mannequin as their window display. My goal was to begin by creating a window display that is bright and eye-catching, reeling in any passer-by. From there, I worked to design a more functioning retail location. Currently occupied by immense clutter, I decided to use more efficient displays to carry clothing. Hoping to minimize clutter, and increase floor space. Overall, my biggest add of display that made an immense difference to the store layout are linear lighting for the window display, and 2x - 2 bay RAD retail aluminum displays. I have attached images below.Other minor adds include more mannequins, a center display with accelerated flooring, and rotating racks. Detail of my floor plan, designing, and project can be seen below in my PPSX.
